Site Overview
Located in Girona, Spain, our site houses key functions including Procurement, Supply Chain & Logistics, Sustainability, HR, IT, and Finance. This vibrant hub fosters collaboration and innovation, making it an exciting place to work.
Role Description
To develop and implement integrated management systems within GWS, to promote standardization and enabling synergies across sites, on 14001 and 45001 schemes.
To promote best practice sharing and implementation with a PDCA approach in EHS items related.
Purpose of the Department Function
The EHS Manager leads development, implementation and monitoring of environmental and Health&Safety strategies and enhances projects and initiatives are materialised to achieve goals.
He/She represents the point of contact on EHS in GWS to ensure consistency and transparency with main stakeholders and that commitments are maintained and ultimately exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement required actions for coordinated ISO 14001:2015 & 45001:2018 certification at GWS, encompassing all needs
- Ensure system and frame for ISO 14001 and 45001 standards are available for local sites to implement and maintain certification, developing global procedures, WI and guidelines, when needed
- Provide training of new employees in group functions/local HSQE managers in relation with EHS topics.
- Participate on internal audit plan and performance.
- Support to supplier approval and evaluation process, planning and performing initial/periodical audit, upon business needs.
- Report to management on the performance of the integrated management system and opportunities for improvement.
- Support site and share best practice across different sites, enhancing improvement in EHS management.
- Coordinate strategies to address issues such as energy use, resource conservation, recycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation.
- Evaluate and approve proposals for sustainability projects, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and integration with other initiatives.
- Define KPIs to measure its consecution on specific goals, monitor them and propose initiatives to achieve these goals.
- Promote healthy working environment and habits.
- Ensure support on KAM structure as quality representative
Skills & Experience
- Ability to deliver projects across multiple sites getting key stakeholders’ alignment and buy-in.
- Strong experience with E&HS
- Ability to give professional presentations, adapting style and content to be appropriate for differing audiences
- Data-driven approach – proven ability to work with numbers to make decisions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in E&HS role, within a highly focused manufacturing environment.
- ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 and other Sustainability international standards
- Internal auditor experience
